THE ARTIST

KATRINE GESMAR MADSEN

I have a degree as a Fashion Designer from Kolding Kunsthaandvaerkerskolen in Denmark in 1991.

During my studies,  I worked as a trainee at the Royal Theater in Copenhagen and as an assisting stylist for the Danish Fashion Magazine IN. I sold my first Jewellery Collection to "Noergaard paa Stroget", who is still a well known and established name in the Fashion Business.

My passion for Art and Design has moved me through many fields. I worked for many years in Munchen, Germany in the Fashion Business and started my own company doing Interior Decoration for Scandinavian Furniture Businesses.

In 2000 I moved with my family to Windsor, Great Britain, where I found a new passion for ceramics. I soon recovered the urge to paint again and showed my first Ceramic Exhibition at the Montessori School in Windsor. Same Year in 2001 I had my next exhibition at the Art Gallery Luscious Conceptions in Windsor.

In the year of 2002 we moved to Switzerland where i continued my work with paintings and ceramics and I improved my skills through several courses.

In 2005 I had my ceramic exhibition at " Weihermatteli" in Hinteralbis outside Zurich. In 2006 I presented my next ceramic collection of lamps at " Galleria Bertoni Arte & Ambiente, Zurich.

In 2007 I had the exhibition "Expressions of the Mind - Dreaming Faces" at ORLEANA, Zug, with ceramics and paintings.

The  Jewellery Collection is sold in Denmark and Switzerland and will soon be available on my webpage .
